Health Assurance for Sustainable Development -Food production and drug exploitation-

In order to achieve sustainable development, health assurance must be considered. Even though scientific progress provides us much more convenient life, several threats still exist. For example, in the fields of agriculture and health, food shortage (nearly 870 million people are suffering from hunger and more than 800 million people are undernourishment in the world) and diseases (sudden illness like Ebola virus and incurable sickness like cancer) have received extensive attention. As researchers in these fields, we propose that if we can enhance food production capacity, there will be less people who are worrying about their next meal. Also if we can exploit medicines to treat a variety of diseases, we will save many lives. What’s more, we can together with these people who will be survived to help others to achieve sustainable development with more happiness and less worry.
